This month, award-winning ethical jewellery brand Lebrusan Studio reveals its new Amare Collection of ‘love rings’. A showcase of Lebrusan Studio’s design signatures whose namesake is Latin for ‘love’, Amare consists of four wedding bands; the Florere, the Rosa, the Marquise and the Laurus.

The collection is defined by ‘subtle but strong’ details that exhibit the best of traditional British craftsmanship and hark back to bygone epochs. Recurring features include delicate milgrain beading, marquise shaped diamond settings and hand-engraved floral motifs. Two of its wedding bands boast a ‘pinched’ shape which lends itself kindly to neighbouring solitaire engagement rings.

Advocates for legacy jewellery that stands the test of time, Lebrusan Studio’s inspiration for the collection was its desire to slow down and take heed of what really matters. “In this fast-paced world of consumption, competition and craze, we’re keen not to lose sight of what jewellery has the power to mean,” the brand’s Creative Director Arabel Lebrusan says.

“For our clientele, jewellery is about pledging commitment and celebrating significant milestones. Engagement rings, wedding bands and commitment rings are once-in-a-lifetime investments, their emotional symbolism transcending trends or economic value.

“For us, jewellery is about celebrating the natural materials gifted to us by Mother Earth, championing the intangible cultural heritage of mining and craftsmanship, and telling stories of people and places.

“In designing a small but considered collection of symbolic heirloom rings, boasting craft techniques and decorative accents as timeless as the notion of love itself, we have encapsulated all that we love most about jewellery.”

A customer of an Amare ring is invited to choose between recycled platinum or gold, Fairtrade Gold, or Fairmined Ecological Gold. The collection’s bejewelled wedding bands are hand-set with small diamonds of traceable Canadian origin.

As with the majority of Lebrusan Studio’s offering, the Amare rings are available on a made-to-order basis. Having recently attained its coveted Created in the UK certification, the designer brand promises that each commission is crafted entirely in Britain; namely Hatton Garden, London’s historic jewellery quarter. It’s here that Lebrusan Studio’s master hand-engraver and stone-setter are based, amongst other important cogs in the jeweller’s small manufacturing machine. Hatton Garden is also where the tight-knit team has laid its roots in recent years, having carved out a permanent base at the world-famous London Diamond Bourse.

The launch follows a busy few months at Lebrusan Studio, with the eponymous brand shortlisted for no less than four industry awards since April. Most recently, Arabel Lebrusan has been hailed a Brand Champion by Professional Jeweller’s 2023 Power List, whilst the business’s unfaltering focus on corporate social responsibility (CSR) has earned it a place on Professional Jeweller’s CSR Initiative of the Year shortlist.
